Kirkland originally hails from Dixon, IL. Formed in 2003, they spent the next decade writing, recording, and relentlessly touring the Midwest. Eventually finding a home in Chicago in 2008, Kirkland became a staple of the then thriving downtown rock and pop scene. During this time, they independently released 2 albums, made four appearances from 2008 through 2011 at SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX, opened for countless national touring acts, and built a vast and loyal fan base. Kirkland disbanded in 2012 to pursue other music and life interests. With 2019 bringing the 10 year anniversary of their last album, and fans asking after a reunion, they decided to not only do a reunion show, but strike up the band once again indefinitely.
